Your Wizards are going bald. And we need your help! We’re raising money for the St. Badrick’s Foundation to help find a cure for childhood cancer.
From today through our game Wednesday, March 14, fans will have an opportunity to join us in our efforts. You could win a signed team jersey, a Jerry West signed basketball, watch Wizards players get their heads shaved and try for a chance to shave Woody’s head. Help us become walking billboards in the fight to end childhood cancer.
Here’s what’s in store:
Fans can donate to St. Baldrick’s throughout the night. After the game, up to five Wizards players will get their heads shaved depending on how much is donated.
When donations reach:
• $1,000 – Justin Johnson will go bald
• $2,000 – Tommy Smith will also go bald
• $3,000 – Shy Ely will also go bald
• $4,000 – Mike Anderson and Mo Baker will also go bald
• $5,000 – a few lucky fans will get to polish coach Nate Bjorkgren`s head
• $6,000 – Every $50 donation will be entered into a drawing for a chance to shave Scott “Woody” Woodmansee’s head
Fans can purchase raffle tickets ($1=1 ticket or $5=6 tickets) for a chance to win a signed Jerry West basketball.
A tire toss will be held during half time. The winner will receive a signed team jersey. Donate to St. Baldrick’s online through Team Dakota Wizards
Stylists from Glance Salon & Spa will be doing the head shaving following the game.
The Wizards are shaving to support kids fighting cancer! With head-shaving and other fundraising events, this volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when we ask for your support, we are really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
