I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Warner Society

Although it may not look like I have much hair to shave, please do not let that deter you from supporting the cause! I shaved my head three years ago to honor and to support my friend Perrin, who continues to fight against cancer. Sure, she's not a kid anymore, but her courage and strength have inspired me so much to do things I might not have otherwise had the pluck to do. And I'm sure I'm not the only one way who feels this way. I chose a career in medicine because I want to help people feel better. As a med student who spends her days secluded in the library, it sometimes feels like the days of treating patients are so far off in the future. So I sit there thinking, how can I give back now, when I'm trying to learn all that I can learn to be a competent physician in a few years? The answer - with my hair. When I think about St. Baldrick's, I think about not only my friend, but all those other friends out there who are wishing and hoping to wake up one morning cancer-free. Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
