I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Well, you see, I thought it might be cool to shave my head. Some years ago, when a cousin of mine thought she had a brain tumor, I said if she lost her hair, I would shave my head in solidarity (I also said I would purchase face paints so we could draw pictures on her head, but she was less touched by that offer). Blessedly, she did not have a brain tumor, and we both still have full heads of hair. Much later, I found out how easy it was to sign up for a St. Baldrick's Day event, and thought, hey, this might be a good thing to do. So I'm signed up and am now asking people to donate to fight children's cancer. I might change this message later, but I guess the essentials are this: I'm going to be bald; I hope people will give money. Thank you for your attention.
