I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Zurich

Some guys look pretty cool with shaved heads. I will not be one of them. With a bit of hesitation, I have agreed to shave my head for a fantastic cause. St. Baldrick's is the world's largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. Thousands of volunteers shave their heads in solidarity of children with cancer, while requesting donations of support from friends and family. In nine years, events have taken place in 18 countries and 48 US states, raising over $50 million, and shaving more than 72,000 heads. To make a donation, click on "Donate Online" or "Donate by mail or phone." My wife and I will match 5% of donated funds up to my goal of $10,000 (for example, if $10,000 is donated, we donate $500). I invite you to John Barleycorn in Schaumburg, IL on Friday March 6th (happy hour time) to join in this great event. Head-shaving is not required for guests! There will be raffles, silent auctions, beer, food, music, etc.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
