I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Obviously, the fight against cancer - of any kind really, is a cause that is very near and dear to my heart. Though cliche', whether we take the time to acknowledge it or not we have all, in one way or another been affected by this insidious disease. Through my own grapplings with hematological disease I have seen, first-hand the indeterminate cost of childhood cancer. As a hematology patient myself I was granted the incredible opportunity of two summers at the Hole In The Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, CT where I met some incredible people. Unfortunately, at the ripe old age of 14 I learned some hard-hitting life lessons when two of my best friends were unable to return the next summer because they had lost their battles with cancer. Though utopian, a world without cancer would be amazing, and we're getting there, but the doctors and researchers and world's best hematologists need help...yours, and mine, to get there.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
