Kennedy was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in June 0f 2007 at the age of 10.. She underwent over a year of intense, aggressive chemotherapy and had 3 ribs removed. She had several setbacks and fought many side effects from the chemotherapy but is currently cancer free!! She is now on heart medication for damage to her heart from the treatments. She is an active, awesome teenager who exemplifies bravery and true survivorship to the fullest.
