On May 7, 2008 at the age of 21 months Kale was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). No one ever thinks it could be your child, but I can tell you first hand it could be!
Since his diagnosis, Kale has endured more than most people will in a LIFETIME! Hundreds of blood draws, countless x-rays, MRI's, CT Scans, 19 Lumbar Punctures, over 30 blood transfusions-just a small portion of what Kale has overcome!
As Kale's cancer journey continues he still has a long road ahead. On December 20, 2009 Kale reached the milestone of 18 months in REMISSION!! Kale has 21 months of treatment remaining. God willing, the next milestone is 5 years in remission, and after 10 years of remission he WILL be considered CURED!!
