Haley was diagnosed with Wilm's tumor stage 4 favorable histology on May 1st 1997. It was the worst day of my life. She was 2 years old and full of energy. Cancer never kept her down. Just 1 day after her surgery to remove her kidney and affected lymph nodes, she was pushing a play vacuum cleaner down the halls of the hospital. When she lost her hair, she refused to wear hats. She didn't care if people stared at her. She underwent a year of chemo, radiation and multiple surgeries. Haley is now 13 years old, loves soccer and her friends. She excels in school and is one of the fastest runners in her 7th grade at school. She has remained cancer free for 11 years now. Scars are the only thing to remind her of her experience, but I will never forget. I will never forget the doctors and nurses who helped us through a horrible time in our lives. I'll never forget there are other children fighting for their lives now. We need your support to find the cure for all kids!
