Plainfield St. Baldrick's

The Plainfield Fire District and the Holy Spirit Knights of Columbus are pleased to be returning for our third year as hosts of the Plainfield St. Baldrick's event. Last year over 100 shavees helped us raise over $43,000 to help fund research into a cure for childhood cancer. This year we are thrilled to be adding a new partner and exciting new dimension to our event with the help of the Nevin's Brewing Company. In addition to our shaving event held downtown with the Village Preservation Association's Hometown Irish Parade, we will be holding an after party and shaving event at Nevin's Brewing Company in Plainfield. Maggie Speaks and Chicalba Bagpiping will be performing for the festivities. Colleen Koziara will also be face & head painting. Whether you join us downtown at the old fire station or later in the day at Nevin's Brewing Company we invite you to be a hero for kids with cancer! Join our event this year, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
