The Vernon Hills Police Department's second annual St. Baldrick's Foundation Head Shaving Event will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Westfield Hawthorn Mall. This time, the event will be held in front of The Gap and H&M clothing stores. Members of the police department will once again be raising money and shaving their heads for kids with cancer. Last year, members of the police department, along with their families and friends, raised over $13,000 for kids with cancer. This year's goal is to continue to add to that total.
This year's event features fun for the whole family, including a raffle and a DJ from Charizma Entertainment!
The police department invites anyone interested in being a hero for kids with cancer to join us in raising much needed money to fund life saving childhood cancer research. So come be a hero for kids with cancer, and show your solidarity with kids living with cancer by having your head shaved during our event. Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement.
The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Thanks for your support!
