Thanks for visiting the Gophers Clip Cancer and St. Baldrick's! The University of Minnesota and St. Baldrick's together are having an event filled long weekend raising money for fighting kids cancer! On Saturday, October 27, the entire day, text the word "HERO" to 27722 and donate $5 to St. Baldrick's. You may text up to 5 times per number and only on Saturday, October 27,2012. Don't miss the video that will be played during the football game vs. Purdue.
On Sunday, come see the women's volleyball team face off against Illinois at Williams Arena at noon and participate in St. Baldrick's wristband donations, buy a Gophers Clip Cancer/St. Baldrick's t-shirt, talk to St. Baldrick's volunteers, and donate throughout the arena.
The big head shaving day is Monday, October 29 from 1-5 at the Gibson Nagurski Football building in the Hall of Fame Area. Come see over 60 students athletes, other students, and U of M staff get their heads shaved! Everyone is welcome to come watch, get their head shaved, or donate to St. Baldrick's. We will also be shaving several student athletes heads LIVE on Ch. 5 KSTP from 6-7pm on Monday evening. Watch Gopher football players including Connor Cosgrove, who is battling leukemia, Mike Rallis with his "pretty boy" long locks according to Connor, and women's volleyball player Mia Tabberson shave their heads! The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
