"We are shaving our heads to raise money for childhood cancer research! Children's Cancer Sucks !!! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers?" ... and so begins our reason to be here every year.

But this year is different.

Every year for the past 12 or so years the cadets of Squadron 3 have worked parking lots; passed out pancakes; swept hair; and shaved heads all in support of this noble cause.

But this year is different.

The cadets have shaved in honor of people lost and even more often for children they will never meet.

But this year is very different.

This year it has hit one of our own.  After 3 years of volunteering with St Baldrick's, Cadet Master Sergeant M. Macarah was diagnosed with leukemia. He is currently ahead in the fight against this nasty disease.  He has taken hard hits but continues to make strides in his road to recovery.  Against some hefty odds he is even doing it on his own 2 feet.

On Monday May 3,2021,  1800 hrs

Cadet Macarah will be greeted by his cadets, where a team of cadets and senior members will be shaving their heads in solidarity.

With Sgt Macarah, for Sgt Macarah, and, beause children's cancer sucks.
