Celebrating 25 Years

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.

National Partner

Fighting Irishman Featuring St. Francis of Goshen

Team Fighting Irishman is again gathering to shave heads and raise money for pediatric cancer research!  Patrick McSweeney, The Fighting Irishman, has been in the battle since being diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2004 at the age of 5.  In January 2018, he found out he had relapsed - again - the 6th time - and is now facing his 7th battle.St. Baldrick's funded research is one reason Patrick is here to fight another day. He has received experimental Tcell therapy - CART19 - at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.  His oncologist work is funded, in part, by St. Baldrick's.  There is a direct tie between your generous donation and his survival. You can join us and shave your head in solidarity, or simply donate to one of the Team Fighting Irishman team members!  Join with Team Fighting Irishman to help find more successful treatments that have fewer long term side effects on the road to cures for the different forms pediatric cancer takes.
