Celebrating 25 Years

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.

National Partner

Bald By Design - American Institute of Architects Las Vegas

Go ahead and throw vanity out the window and get yourself a free haircut for a worthwhile cause.

AIA Las Vegas is challenging the local design community to come out and support this year’s St. Baldrick’s event at McMullin’s Irish Pub on March 5th. We dare you to experience the thrill of going bald to support childhood cancer research, or at least support one of the brave shavees who are giving up their locks for a good cause. Everyone in the local design community is encouraged to participate and that includes not just architects but interior designers, engineers, developers, contractors, and suppliers. Shave your head and show your solidarity with kid’s who are fighting cancer and help to find a cure.

Many of you may know that local AIA Fellow Windom Kimsey’s oldest daughter Claire is a childhood cancer survivor, and her successful treatment was made possible by the research that is funded through organizations like St. Baldrick’s. Last year Tate Snyder Kimsey was responsible for raising well over $18,000 for the event. Their returning shave team led by Windom is joining with AIA Las Vegas on the newly formed Bald By Design team. All of you are invited and encouraged to join our effort to be the number one fundraiser for St. Baldrick’s in Nevada this year.
Don’t miss out on the fun! Please contact Debi Raffi at draffi@aianevada.org for more information.
