After attending a few Bolingbrook 4 Kids St. Baldrick's festivities, once as an Honored Kid and the following year with NED (No Evidence of Disease, our favorite acronym), our cancer-survivor, super hero son, Bodhi, asked to be a shavee.

It's our turn to support and give back just a little hair and hopefully as much money as we can to an organization that I hope one day won't need to fight cancer because they will have helped cure it.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation now funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. St. Baldrick's has committed more than $200 million since 2005 to fund local institutions as well as cooperative research on a national scale to help doctors work together to develop the best treatments for all children with cancer.  P.S. check back here now and again as John and I will be dyeing our hair crazy colors and perhaps trying out different shorter hair & beard styles as we hit donation milestones before we say goodbye to our luscious locks!
