Celebrating 25 Years

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.

I’m shaving my head this year in memory of my daughter, Anna Mrdak. Anna would be 15 years old. Anna was diagnosed in March 2012 of having osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in her left leg (shin). Anna began chemo on April 10, 2012 and completed chemo on December 20, 2012. Anna passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 due to the permanent heart damage that was caused by the chemo. The very treatment that was meant to save her life, ended up taking her life.

In Anna’s memory, please consider supporting St. Baldrick’s with a donation. I would also ask you to please keep those parents and children that are currently going through this horrible disease and treatment in your thoughts and prayers. We desperately need a real cure.

Thank you for your prayers, thoughts and support!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

It's all about the kids. Let's fund childhood cancer research to help kids grow up cancer-free. Get involved or make a donation today, and click a photo below to see why we need cures now.
