GEORGETOWN, Texas (April 3, 2023) – Sport Clips Haircuts is hosting its first national in-store fundraiser for St. Baldrick’s Foundation April 2 – 15, when clients can donate directly to the organization. Since forming its national partnership in 2016 with the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, Sport Clips Haircuts has donated $2.7 million to St. Baldrick’s.

“From our valued stylists giving their time and talent participating in St. Baldrick’s fundraising head-shaving events to our monetary contributions that fund its work, Sport Clips has been ‘all in’ on making a difference in the lives of children through the organization,” says Edward Logan, CEO and president of Sport Clips. “We’re upping our commitment this year by bringing the campaign into our stores where clients can quickly and easily donate as they’re checking out after a haircut.”

“The Sport Clips team really lives their goal to Conquer Kids’ Cancer and are a star player in our national mission,” explains Kathleen Ruddy, St. Baldrick’s CEO. “By developing new plays to engage stylists and patrons alike, Sport Clips leadership in and out of their stores results in more kids saved and healthier survivors. Every kid wants a teammate like Sport Clips in the fight with them and the St. Baldrick’s Foundation celebrates this winning partner.”

Logan went on to recognize the dedication of Sport Clips team members to this important effort, and how franchise’s generous clients can get involved. He shared some of the reasons to support St. Baldrick’s include:

  • Every two minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer somewhere in the world
  • One in five children diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. will not survive
  • Estimated one in 900 people in the U.S. is a survivor of childhood cancer
  • St. Baldrick’s Foundation has awarded 1,712 grants in 31 countries totaling more than $326 million…and Sport Clips Haircuts has been a part of this ongoing effort for eight years.
