I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Crossfit Academy's FGB: Fight Gone Bald

As many of you know by now, I am a Cancer Survivor. In my case, they caught it early and acted swiftly and firmly in treatment. Children's Cancer's unlike Adult cancers, are much much much more aggressive!! This is very near and dear to my heart. They fight so hard and yet they still may not make it through the treatment. When I was undergoing chemotherapy, I met a young boy with a childhood blood cancer. He as well was bald, no eyelashes, and no eyebrows. All he wanted for christmas was USC apparel. Yes, that is the first time I willingly bought a USC item. I bought him a beanie to give to him at our next chemotherapy appointment since we were on the same schedules. I never got to give him that beanie, he died before the next appointment. He fought so hard and yet still lost. His strength touched me so and inspired me to have strength as well and continue my fight. I would like to honor my friend and raise money for Children's Cancer Research in the process. I plan to shave the bit of hair that has already grown back from my own cancer battle and go bald once again, for my friend and many other kids just like him that have fought, are fighting, or will fight cancer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for donating to this worthy cause. I am here today with a second chance at life due to generous people that helped fund the research and treatment of my cancer. I hope I can give back even a small portion of that same love. If you would like to see me get shaved, come on by :) -Sarah Hess ************************************************************************************************************** You heard it right - I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research! In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure. To make a donation, click on "Make A Donation" or donate by mail or phone. Thank you for your support! *If you would like to pay by cash or check, please pay me directly, as I will do a lump sum payment at the end to cover that amount. It is easier for me and the foundation if I do that. Thanks!*
