I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Welcome!

And thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

I shaved my head in honor of 19-year-old Bailey Rink who has been battling leukemia since age 15.

Your donation supports the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants.

Did you know….

· More children are lost to cancer in the U.S. than any other disease—in fact, more than many other childhood diseases combined.

· Before they turn 20, about 1 in 285 children in the U.S. will have cancer.

· Worldwide, a child is diagnosed every 2 minutes.

And only 4% of federal funding for biomedical research is dedicated solely to investigating pediatric cancers. Despite this, we have made progress. In the 1950s, almost all kids diagnosed with cancer died, but because of research, today about 90% of kids with the most common type of cancer – acute lymphoblastic leukemia - will live.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation aims to continue this progress. Their mission is to find cures for childhood cancers and to give survivors long and healthy lives. It is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, raising over $35,000,000 in 2018 alone.

Any donation amount is greatly appreciated, and brings us closer to a cure for childhood cancer.

Thank you!—for being a hero to kids with cancer.

Together, we will make a difference.

Hairs to ya!

Sincerely-

Paula
