I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Reich

My husband, Dave, and I are shaving our heads to raise money for childhood cancer research! I’ve been alarmed and saddened to learn that more children are lost to cancer in the U.S. than any other disease, about 1 in 285 children in the U.S. will have cancer before they turn 20, and worldwide, a child is diagnosed every 3 minutes. For those kids who survive, the battle continues. Recent studies show that by age 45, more than 95% of survivors will have chronic health problems. Along with finding cures, developing treatment options specific to kids is critical. I’m reminded of a young girl I cared for during my pediatric clinical rotation. I was assigned to her care the day her parents received her cancer diagnosis. I don’t recall specifics but their raw emotions stayed with me for a long time.

Will you join Dave and I by making a donation? Every dollar makes a difference. Thank you for your consideration and support!
