I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Boy Scout Troop 241

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded.


My involvement with St. Baldrick's started in 2014. I signed up to be a shavee and Go Bald. I selected two honored kids. Matthew and Cooper. Cooper is cancer free and off in college now. I became good friends with Matthew. I remember first meeting him at his house with his bald head from treatment. Out side of that he was just like and other kid our age except he was battling cancer and fighting for his life. Matthew inspired us continue our work with St. Baldrick's. We saw Matthews cancer comeback a 3rd time and ultimately lose his battle with cancer in December 2014.
