As someone who has worked with children for 14 years, I've been blessed to work with kids who face issues much bigger than themselves with tenacity and poise. I have had the distinct honor of working with two Make-A-Wish recipients and was delighted to bring joy to children battling cancer during my time at the Children's Museum of Houston.
After announcing a plan to shave my head for my 31st birthday, I received an even better idea from a professor of mine: shave it AND raise money for St. Baldrick's! As a mother and educator, I couldn't imagine a better thing to do than raise money for childhood cancer research.
Childhood cancer research is decidedly underfunded. Cancers that affect children are different than those that do adults, which is to say, different approaches and cures are needed. Support these strong, small warriors in their incredible fight by enabling the research needed to save their lives.
Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Help them win the battle against these diseases by donating to my St. Baldrick's campaign!
