I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Fighting Irishman Featuring St. Francis of Goshen

I'm honoring several children at this event. Some have won their battle, some are in the battle, and some have lost their battle with cancer. Pediatric cancer is cruel, wreaking devastation on children, parents, siblings, and communities.

Unlike adult cancers, pediatric cancers are not life style induced. That is why research is needed on two fronts - finding cures that themselves inflict as little collateral damage as possible, and finding the reasons WHY pediatric cancers occur.

Patrick, my son and honored hero, has relapsed for a 6th time. He is in his 7th battle with leukemia. 38 months of chemo therepy, followed by another 27 months of even harsher chemotherapy, followed by a bone marrow tranplant, and several infusions of experimental, gene altered T-cells (CART19) in Philadelphia, along with untold prayers and community support, have brought him to today. With his 6th relapse, the plan is for one final Tcell infusion to put him in remission, followed by a second bone marrow transplant.

He truly is The Fighting Irishman!!

Your generous donation to find improved treatment, cures, and underlying causes for pediatric cancer are greatly appreciated!

Go Raibh Maith Agat! (Thank you!)
