I had such a blast doing the St. Baldrick's event last year that once again on March 11th, I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Last year I learned two things. First, I was blessed with a perfectly round head but I would shave it even if it had a flat spot. Second and more importantly I learned that that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers and childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded.
Those of you who know me, know that I sometimes lament that I did not have children, but I always say that because I don't have my own kids I can help many, many more.
I'm part of team Sean Kelly and we are committed to raising $55,000!! Now I need your help and ask that you make a donation. Every dollar makes a difference. If one hundred people donate 10.00, I'll reach my goal to raise 1000.00 but I would like to beat that goal. For most of us that's a sacrifice of one lunch out, two latte's, one craft beer or trip to Stan's Donuts. And I know more than 100 awesome people..... so this should be a snap. Of course you can go big too! I've started off the donations with a $250.00 contribution
Thanks for joining me in raising funds for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
Thanks everyone!
Greta
