I have been ridiculously inspired by these children fighting cancer. I lost my father to cancer just 2 years ago and it tilted my world - my only description is that my world changed colors. I am very aware of the cancers that affect adults and their prevention and treatment. But childhood cancer is not something I see every day - in fact I've done my best not to see it at times, it is so painful and hard to face. Yet, these children face it on a daily basis, with a strength of heart and character that most adults never achieve.
So, I am really honored to join the St. Baldrick's foundation and shave my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! I am learning about childhood cancers and hope to help others become more aware - for instance, did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
Now I need your help! I would LOVE for you to donate to this cause. Every donation counts, $1 or $50! Whatever you are inspired to give will make a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
Who's in??? I AM SHAVING MY HEAD! Let's Get'r'Done!
