I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I’ve decided that this year on February 18th that I am going to participate in the St. Baldricks event at Bowling Green State University. St. Baldricks raises money for childhood cancer research, which is severely underfunded. On top of that it is more difficult to find a cure because kids’ cancer is different than adults. By raising awareness and money we can help find a cure. To further show my dedication to this cause I’ll be joining the thousands of others who shave their head for this event. Women often see their hair as a security blanket or as a main asset in evaluating their beauty. However, women who are affected by cancer have no say when it comes to them losing their locks. By willfully shaving my head I am standing in solidarity with the courageous and beautiful young women who are battling this ugly disease. Hopefully our contribution will remind young women with cancer that they are supported and cherished. I also hope to remind women who are not affected by cancer that going bald is as beautiful as having a whole head of hair! Please, to help meet my $1000 goal I’ll need YOUR help!! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference. Let’s not just give change let’s be it❤️
