I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team CKCKC

On January 20, 2015, my little sister, Sophia, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. We have been going to Lurie children's hospital for three years for her treatment. Over that time, I have met many amazing kids there. When you get to know these children, you see that they are just kids like us that fight every day for their life.

Having been involved with four St. Baldrick's events, I have gained a passion for this organization and for all they do to help children. Last year, I cut off eight inches of my hair and donated it to be made into a wig. My brother also shaved his head and, together, we raised over ten thousand dollars for St. Baldrick’s.

I am especially proud to be a part of Chiaravalle Kids Conquer Kids Cancer, as it is an event created by kids for kids. For our second year, I am looking forward to raising even more research funds and support for the children in need of our help. This year, I am not going to cut my hair, as it has yet to regrow enough to donate. Instead, I am putting my energy into getting corporate partners. If you have a company and are interested in sponsoring our event, I would love to talk to you! I am working with the CKCKC team and, together, we are going to make a real difference.
