Hi! I'm Melissa, and I'm ten years old. My family has been involved in fighting childhood cancers for as long as I can remember - our friend Morgan was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in 2005, just before her fifth birthday, and spent the next five and a half years fighting. We lost Morgan to cancer in 2010. I think it's important to help people know how bad it is when kids get cancer, and that there aren't a lot of treatment options that are especially for kids. St. Baldrick's helps provide money to researchers who are working to find CURES for kids like Morgan.
Last year, my big brother teamed up with our friends at the IU Evans Scholars House and raised over $3,300 for St. Baldrick's!! That's pretty cool, but I think I can do better - but I can't do it without YOUR help! Here's the deal, if you can donate, that's fantastic - you can donate online using a credit or debit card, or print out the donation form and mail it to St. Baldrick's with your check. I know that not everyone will be able to donate, and that's ok - you can still help! If you'll share my page on your facebook & twitter, then maybe someone you know can donate. The more people we reach, the better the odds are that I'll be able to beat my brother AND help kick cancer in the backside!
Thanks for reading, and for supporting me in the fight against childhood cancers.

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
