I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

It is time again for a long overdue haircut for a good cause. I've decided sort of last-minute to join Lockport Township High School in its St. Baldrick's efforts again. And I want to raise $500 in this short window (five days) to do it. I hope you will at least think about helping me and, more importantly, the children. Also, the beard is going with the hair this year.

As I don't know any particular children afflicted with cancer, the proceeds will simply go toward helping the organization in its mission. That said, I am dedicating this year's effort to two very important people. I'm dedicating it to the late Regina Hayes -- the mother of good friend Matt Peters -- who died last year after a battle with cancer, and to Brian Hastings, a co-worker at 22nd Century Media currently battling cancer.

Thanks in advance to anyone who decides to help. I know money is tight nowadays, but the support is greatly appreciated.
