I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Pink

Before I was born, my grandfather was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). He asked God to let him live to see his first grandchild (me), be born. Since then, he has won the fight against AML, lymphoma, and has been able to see six of his grandchildren be born. I've decided to become a volunteer with the St. Baldrick's Foundation because these infants, children, teens, and young adults are battling diseases and going through treatments that can take away their life. With head-shaving and other fundraising events, this volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. In the 1950s, almost all kids diagnosed with cancer died. Because of research, today about 85% of kids with the most common type of cancer will live. But for many other types, progress has been limited, and for some kids there is still little hope for a cure. With your donation, you're supporting these kids and giving them hope! Thank you!
