I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
Bald is beautiful! I am going bald again to raise money to help find a cure for childhood cancer. This cause is very close to my heart as I had a cousin die of Leukemia at the age of 11. Leslie was 2 years younger than me, but the closest cousin to my age so we were not only counsins but friends. I often think about her and wonder what she would have been like as an adult, would she be a wife, mother, career woman? Would she have made adifference in the world? Leslie would have been 45 years old this year. I still miss her. As many of you know I work at Streamwood High school and I love working with high school students. Unfortunatly, I have known too many of them who have battled cancer and lost. It is very difficult to watch a bright, young, energetic teenagers fight this deadly disease. They inspire me with their positive attitudes and the way they fight with everything they have. This is why I am choosing to go bald again. Thank you inadvance for any donations. Until there's a Cure.....
