I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Lock Losin' Ladies

I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. My adventure with St. Baldrick's Foundation came when my daughter Debbe selected this worthy cause as her Miss America pageant platform in 2009. Cancer has been knowingly in my life since I was a child. From extended family members to a high school friend, and in 2002 my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. While watching her battle this disease I decided to donate my beloved long curly hair to Locks of Love. Now I have decided to join Debbe in her efforts to raise funds for childrens cancer research. Anyone fighting cancer needs our support but seeing a beautiful young innocent child fight makes me want to stand up and say "what can I do?" Shaving my head is a gesture I can do to show children my support. Raising money for this incredible organization is my goal, and with your help we can do our part in finding cures for these awful diseases! This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you! Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
