We are all touched by a child. When their childhood is struck with something as catastrophic as cancer, much is lost for them, their families and their friends. My friend and brother Knight of Columbus Joe S. has a son, Joey. For five brave years Joey has and is fighting his cancer with optimism and a smile. He is 12 now and today Feb. 7 he is not home in Annapolis, MD but at St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN. All the king's horses and all the king's men and women at Johns Hopkins and other hospitals around the country could not erase his illness. Now the miracle workers at St. Jude are trying. Your prayers would be very helpful for him and his family. I'm also asking you to sponsor me in my effort to help. I'm having my head shaved on March 4 at O'Loughlin's Irish Bar and Restaurant in Arnold, MD to stand in solidarity with Joey and other kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support Joey and these kids. Any and all donations are welcome in helping me reach my goal of $4,000. Please, click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone, mail, or if you want to give cash, I can turn it into the charity. Last year the O'Loughlin's effort raised more than $76,000; this year the goal is higher. Help my head shine a little brighter but most of all, please help these kids with this much needed research.
Thank you.
