Since mid February of last year, I have committed to let my hair grow as long as it can for a full year! Many things have happened in this last year which kept me focused on this personal goal! On October 27, 2011 one of our family members earned his precious Angel Wings at the sweet innocent age of 7. Christopher Court had a type of brain tumor called Anaplastic Astrocytoma which was classified as a grade 3 malignant tumor. At the end it had progressed to a Glioblastoma Multiforme or GBM which is the most malignant type of tumor.
I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. No child and no family should have to endure the pain and suffering like Christopher and his family did! He truly is a hero and has touched many lives near and far! Christopher fought the greatest fight to the end, and this is who I am shaving my head for!
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
