I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I am so thankful that my two beautiful children are healthy, unfortunately not all children are. Last year, I got involved with St. Baldrick's to raise awareness and help fund research for kids' cancer. At the time I thought it would be a solitary experience. I changed my mind after seeing how good my brother-in-law, Jerry, looked bald--I remembered how good I looked bald too! In all seriousness, I did decide to shave my head again when Jerry lost his hair. I guess I hope that if I shave my head it means I might have a small fraction of the guts he has used in his battle with cancer. He continues to be an inspiration to me and helps me remember that I need to be thankful for my blessings. Cancer has taken loved ones and given others a really hard time. I want to help make it more treatable. Please consider helping me reach my goal so children can get back to being children and not cancer patients. Danielle

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
