I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Hope

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Hope

Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives.

This is the sixth year that I’m shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive. In my short lifetime, three boys within my small daycare and school communities were diagnosed with different childhood cancers. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids.

I am shaving my head this year in memory of Andrew Mendillo - a friend from my day care,  in support of Harper S. and Ryan S., two boys who go to my school, and in honor of Austin G., who lives in my hometown.

Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.

Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much!
