I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Katherine +

My father Charles Ford participated in a St. Baldrick’s Team Katherine event in 2013, he loved children and was a great role model and mentor for many! He looked forward to participating annually, July 30th 2013 he became suddenly ill, on July 31st before he passed away I made him 2 promises…. One I would take care of my mom and two I would step in for him as a St. Baldrick’s shavee in 2014, which kind of terrified me, being bald. As I prepare for my 9th year as a shavee participant, what started out as a promise has become so much more to me. Because of the funds raised by St. Baldrick’s events there have been so many advances in treating childhood cancers but funding for research is still needed. Every child should have the opportunity to enjoy a life as full and wonderful as my 55 years on this earth have been! Any donation amount would be appreciated, together we will conquer childhood cancers
