Three years ago I was asked to Emcee a St. Baldricks event by a friend of mine. While doing that first event, I still had a head of hair and was fighting with my inner self to take the leap and be a shavee. However, all of my worries and fears, of what I would look like bald, went away as soon as I started hearing the stories of the children that are battling with cancer. I challenged the attendees at my event that if they raised enough money, I too would shave my head. From that day on, I have always had a shaved head and every time I cut my hair, it reminds me of the children. Now, I start to grow my hair out again around the new year and raise money and awareness of this great organization and event.
Please donate to help me honor of the many families I have heard stories from, including one of my favorite, SUPER LUCY and the many other kids and families out in the world battling cancer.
Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids.
Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let’s #DFYchildhoodCancers together.
