I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

This holiday season I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So, I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

I have been very blessed most of my life. Sure, life has thrown lots of challenges at me the same as most of you. However, I have never had to deal with a life-threatening disease!

I was born with a thick beautiful head of hair; a trait that I inherited from my Italian Grandmother. At 11 days old I had my first haircut. I’m not kidding when I say I have a ton of hair. In fact, every morning I’m left with what looks like a small rodent in the palm of my hand due to the normal process of shedding hair throughout the day. I’m shocked that I still have as much hair as I do!

It is thick and naturally curly and grows like a weed! I’ve been told countless times just how lucky I am to have such a head of hair; and how much money women spend to attain the same. I have gone from brunette my natural color, to red, to blonde to grey and back to brunette in the last 8 years.

Over the past 15 years I’ve donated almost 100 inches of hair to Locks of Love, an organization which provides hair prosthetics to children suffering from all types of hair loss. And on Saturday, January 4th, I will shave all my entire head of hair to support children fighting cancer.

Now I need your help! Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Please help me to make a positive impact on the research for childhood cancer cures by donating today.

Thank you very much and have a truly spectacular day!
