I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

Each year Santiago Canyon College (SCC) raises money for The St. Baldrick's Foundation to support research for childhood cancer. This foundation is near and dear to Communication professor Kubicka-Miller's heart, who has his Small Group Dynamics class organize aa fundraising event on campus to support the cause!

Two years ago I made the commitment to shave my head in order to raise awareness for the foundation and its mission. I was fortunate enough to surpass my $500 goal, so this year I have set the ambitious goal of raising $1,000!

Below you can check out SCC's 2017's Promo Video, learn about some young cancer warriors and their stories, and see my before and after photos from 2017.

Cancer affects everybody. We all know someone who has had or has been affected by cancer. So if you are able, please make a donation of any amount or share my page to help be an advocate for St. Baldrick's!
