Hey y'all!
Read for details about what's going on!
My class at the Duke Physician Assistant Program has partnered with a local pub in Durham to support the St. Baldrick’s Foundation in raising money for childhood cancer research. Did you know that worldwide, 300,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year, and in the U.S., more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease?
St. Baldrick's mission really stands out to me, and the fact that only 3% of the money raised goes towards administrative costs ensures that your donation will be used to help these kids live the life they deserve.
It's in honor of all of the children affected by cancer and specifically someone in my family that I am participating in this fundraiser as a "Shavee." Although I am not as brave as the children who have to face loosing their hair, I will be cutting and donating a substantial amount of my hair on stage at the event in April in order to honor them.
It’s with the help of donations from lovely people like you, that we are able to fund childhood cancer research. Please consider donating, even if it's just $1, via the link below to help me reach my goal of $500 or share my post to help my classmates and I reach our $12,000 goal by April 28th!
Thank you!
