I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hello everyone, this is Pierce, son of Cathy and Ron. I have asked my parents to post this to raise awareness not only to something I am doing, but something that is a heartbreaking journey for many people everyday. I am shaving my head (will be having my head shaved, more accurately) at a St. Baldrick's event at Oakland University this Friday. I’ve wanted to shave my head for a while now, and when I heard about St. Baldrick’s and their charity which uses these shave events for fundraisers, I thought what a great opportunity it is to raise some money for someone in need.

So I am starting out this fundraiser drive with $25, and hoping some people that see this would considering donating a few dollars - or even one for that matter - with me. If on Friday, I end with $25, I will still be satisfied as I believe shaving heads destigmatizes the look and raises awareness for the cause by itself. If you made it this far, thank you for reading. If you decide to donate, please use my name for shavee name so I know how much money I raised and know what kind of impact this social media post made. Thank you and look forward to showing you the after picture!

Hi! Thank you for at least looking at my website! And thank you if you donated. My before pic may be sideways.. but it gets the message across. I pretty much said all that I wanted to in the Facebook post, so not much to say here. Again, I am shaving my head at Oakland University at "Bald, Brave, and Beautiful 2019 - Oakland University" on Friday, March 8th from 6-8 pm. I am very excited as I have wanted to do this for a long time.

Thanks once again,

Pierce
