I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
Hi friends, I will be shaving my head on March 2 for the sixth year in a row to raise money for childhood cancer research. This year I have chosen to shave in honor of Tyler Trent, one of the bravest, most articulate young adults I have ever been blessed to know. Tyler was passionate about the need for more pediatric cancer research and Purdue football! He was able to raise awareness about the urgent the need for better treatment options to help save lives; and importantly he recognized the crucial role that research has in bringing new treatments to people suffering from cancers who need them. Tyler lost his battle on New Year's Day but his passion and important mission live on. Tyler exemplifies why I shave...funding to support pediatric cancer research is critically needed to help bring promising new treatments to young cancer patients. My career is dedicated to finding ways to improve treatments for kids with the most aggressive cancers and I know firsthand how difficult it is to get funding for this critical research. I am shaving my head again to help raise money to support this extremely underfunded research area through the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, one of the few foundations dedicated exclusively to pediatric cancer research. We need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Thanks so much for your support!
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least seven years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.

We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
