Hello! It's me, Callaway! It's almost March, which means it's time for me to shave my head for the FOURTH time in support of the St. Baldrick's Foundation. I shaved in 2014, 2015, and 2017, and I took 2018 off to grow my hair really long again (see my pictures below) so hopefully I can raise enough money to meet or exceed my lofty goal of $8,000 for childhood cancer research. In 2017 I was able to raise almost $7,000 AND I donated my hair to a charity that makes wigs for kids going through treatments! I cannot wait to participate again this year!
I’m shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? Or that every 2 minutes another kid is diagnosed with cancer? It's true and childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. Together, you and I can change that. I'm going to shave my head at a St. Baldrick's Foundation event on March 17th at A.J. Rocco’s in Cleveland. My bald head will be a sign that I stand up for the brave kids being treated for cancer, but the real point of all this is to raise money for research that will help save their lives. Please make a donation on my head and come watch me Conquer Childhood Cancers! I'm shaving my head in honor of a family friend, Ava. Ava is nine years old and bravely fighting a battle with medulloblastoma.
Now I need your help. Will you please make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Please make a donation at https://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/1002847/2019 or search for my name as a shavee on the St. Baldrick's website http://www.stbaldricks.org. You may give online, by phone (888-899-BALD), or write a check payable to "St. Baldrick's Foundation." I'll be collecting cash, too.
I have made this my mission, and I hope you'll make it your mission, too: Let’s Conquer Childhood Cancers together!
Thank you in advance for your support! I appreciate anything you can do.
Love you,
Callaway
