As a mom to two amazing young boys, it is important to me to set a good example in all that I do. By shaving my head for St Baldrick's this year, I am hoping that my children understand the importance of giving of yourself even when it might take you out of your comfort zone, as well as the benefit of going the extra mile for others. My experience as a nurse at Kosair Children's Hospital has allowed me to see close-up the trials and tribulations of cancer in the pediatric population. As a mom and as a nurse, I have seen the heartache and wiped the tears of those affected by this nasty disease. I am so lucky to be a part of this fabulous event. St Baldrick's and Our Lady of Lourdes is providing me with a terrific opportunity to truly help others.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
