I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Markit

Dear family and friends, I have decided to have my head shaved to benefit kids with cancer. For those who are unaware of The St. Baldrick's Foundation I encourage you to spend a few moments on the website (www.stbaldricks.org). There you will learn how the charity got started in 2000 when three executives decided to turn an industry St. Patrick’s Day party into a benefit for kids with cancer. They aimed to raise $17,000 with their colleagues and to their surprise they rose over $100,000. Since then St. Baldricks has raised over $68 million dollars in over 24 countries to benefit kids with cancer. You will also learn about a few of the brave children a donation will help. I first learned about St. Baldrick's three years ago when just a handful of my Markit colleagues participated. More than 20 North American Markit employees are registered to have their heads shaved on March 17th. Many of you know the anguish of this disease first hand and better than I. My gesture is just that and won't mean nearly as much without your support. No donation is too small and your donation can be made completely anonymous. I am also assured photos will be taken and distributed afterwards. For those of you that would like a birds eye view please join us at the Boat House in Central park on St. Patrick’s Day. Thank you for your consideration. Justin

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
