I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hello everyone! With all the abilities I have, I want to take part in a meaningful cause and be of service to other people. This is my second year in taking part in the Saint Baldrick's cause. Some of you have joined me through all of our contributions last year, but the fight against cancer is still not over. We need to continue our efforts further! Please join me again this year and invite your friends, family, co-workers, and acquaintances to add more people to this cause!

Cancer is an incurable disease that can affect anyone, and I have relatives who passed away because of this disease. This vicious disease affects everyone from all ages and walks of life, like children, and families had to cope with the struggles of treatment and the pain of losing a loved one. In the United States alone, about 15,270 children were diagnosed with cancer in 2017 and about 1,790 died because of this. We need to do as much as we can to give a cure to those diagnosed with this illness. Science has made great strides in medicine in saving millions of lives, but with cancer, lives, like those of children, are still lost because advances have not been made.

I will be shaving all my hair on May 4th to show my support for childhood cancer research and for those who are battling against this silent and deadly illness. Many of the children that are treated with cancer loose a large part of their hair as a side effect of current treatment, and the treatments themselves bring a lot of health risks. I want to show my support for them in doing this by understanding what they had to endure from this disease.

Similarly, please do join me in donating to the Saint Baldrick's Foudation to fund cancer research. Cancer is often described as incurable, but I believe that with all our efforts, in small and large ways, in supporting and further developing cancer research, a cure can be developed that will save innocent lives from this disease. Alone, I can only make a small donation, but all of us together, we can make a huge, meaningful contribution! I encourage you all to please click donate above to collectively do your part and my part in protecting the health and lives of children. It is time that we put an end to cancer distorting and taking away the lives of innocent people, like children, and limiting them in their potential.

Reading the lives of the children that faced this disease, I am inspired by their resilience, optimism, and hope to continue living their own, unique lives and not let a couple of microscopic anomalies bring them down. In the honor of all those, young and old, who passed away from this illness and in solidarity with those undergoing treatment, let us all do our part!
