UPDATE February 1, 2020
I am very excited (and maybe also crying) to report that I increased my goal once again. In less than ten days, we have raised over $1000. This time, I set the goal a lot higher. In 2016, you contributed $3,800 to fund research to conquer childhood cancers. I am fully confident we can beat that total...so let's see if we can do it before Valentine's Day. Nothing would make my heart happier than to increase that goal again...and again...again.
On March 1, 2020, it will be four years since I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer when I was 23 weeks pregnant with Finn. I was going to lose my hair anyway, so I took charge of it, and I raised $3,800 for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, an organization that raises money for childhood cancer research by hosting head shaving events. I've set a $500 goal this time, but really, I want to beat my total from last time. Can you help?
I'm shaving in honor of Jack H and Hank L, both darling and much loved boys who were taken from us far too soon. Kids' cancers are different from adult cancers, and childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
Thank you.
