I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm doing this in honor of my younger sister Genevieve, who lost her battle with brain cancer at age 22. Gen was a remarkable, vibrant young girl who touched the lives of everyone who encountered her, if only for a brief moment. My sister was born 2 months premature and also had cerebral palsy. The doctors told my mother that she would never talk, see, walk or be able to hear. Although confined to a wheelchair my sister was able to do all of the things the doctors said she never would. Even while facing death she was brave and funny. I'm doing this for Genevieve in the hopes that one day there will be a cure.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
