Sometimes, people do crazy things, that then inspire you to do crazy things. And sometimes, you are reminded that what you believe, requires crazy action.

Add inspiration with conviction and what you get is me shaving my head.

While I have not been directly affected by it, cancer has a way of indirectly affecting us all. It affected me years ago through my great grandmother, Nana, who had cervical and ovarian cancer. As well as my grandpa who had prostate cancer and skin cancer. And now in the past 3 years it has affected me through my dad-in-law & mom-in-law, very unexpectedly. One of them has made it out on the other side of treatment for colon cancer and one is still surviving through treatment for breast cancer. The shock of someone you love getting this news that they have cancer, I don't think, you can ever quite prepare for. The strength I have seen in my mom and dad blows me away. I think that those who have and are fighting cancer have more to teach us, then anything we can do for them. So, I am ready to learn.

While this specific shaving is for kids, I see it all as one. We are all in this together, right? And to know that children are enduring this sort of hardship and suffering each day, well, they should be stood for. We have a voice, that they don't have. Be aware, and use your resources to do something about it. Together we can do incredible things.

While I'm the one buzzin my long brown locks, I need you to support me, and much more importantly, support these kids. By donating, you are helping to raise CRITICAL funds for childhood cancer research. In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. We can do our part. Stand alongside the kids going through this tragedy. St. Baldrick's is an incredible tool to make this happen - let's use it!
